Love is meeting your sister and screaming. Love is meeting your brother and trying to escape from the screaming.
Almost one year ago, Nicholas and the Munchkin met. J, D, the Munchkin and JD came out for New Year's Eve to celebrate with us. Nicholas was just over one month old. The Munchkin wasn't really sure what to think of him but she did do a double take when she saw two babies in the same room when she assumed that there would only be one. I can still picture her face; it was priceless.
This picture isn't exactly one you'd find in a photographer's portfolio. Nicholas is screaming. (When was he ever so tiny with such dark hair?) The Munchkin is literally trying to jump out of her Dad's arms. It's just amusing as all get out. Why? This is what sibling love is all about; being in the same picture even if you don't particularly want to be. ;) Other people have these beautiful, lovely pictures of older siblings kissing new siblings heads to welcome them into the family. No, not us. We have screaming and escaping. Fits us well.
