Michelle’s great series has inspired me to abandon my serious topics for a post or two, and tell you some facts that you probably do not know about me! Can’t promise that I will get to 100, but, think I will manage at least 50.
1. I have outlived the majority of the stars that I saw in concert.
2. Elvis Presley is the only performer that I saw in concert twice. I loved his concerts!
3. The best vacation I ever had was a trip to the Swiss Alps 2-3 years ago. We hiked in the Alps and it was a dream come true.
4. Like Michelle, I also loved raising my children. (Well, nearly all the time anyway!) Now I am working on just doting on my grandchildren.
5. All my husbands have had blue eyes.
6. I once met the renowned cooking legend, Julia Child at a cooking demonstration and book signing. (Yes, she’s gone too!)
7. My adult children are my greatest accomplishments. I never aimed to have a have an interesting, high-powered career. For 16 years, I was a stay-at-home mom.
8. I am an avid Francophile and cannot seem to get enough of anything French.
9. I always hated my middle name – don’t ask!
10. If you have read my blog enough, you already know that I adore my granddaughter and grandsons.
11. One of my biggest flaws is that I tend to leave things scattered around the house – I wish that I were neater.
12. When my son was 12 years old, I took him on vacation to Europe(England, France and Holland). Mostly people thought I was nuts to take him. It was a great trip.
13. My paternal grandmother lived on a farm, complete with an outhouse, a pump on the porch and a feather bed that I slept on while visiting.
14. I have lived in about 7 different states – that I can recall at the moment!
15. One of the few Southern phrases that I still use is “fixin to”.

When I was 11 my Dad took me on a trip to England (where we later moved to). It was terrific for me and I remember it as one of my best Dad memories ever.
Michelle

Someplace where we differ, Jan…I get WAY too much of everything French.
