My co-blogger Jenna, mentioned that this is Delurking Week. It is fun to know who is reading, I do admit. Plus, I do enjoy comments and feel fortunate not to have received too many negative ones! Although all feedback is welcome – I learn from both negative and positive.

I must assume that your fingers are stuck in several pair of finger cuffs, and you can only operate the mouse with your foot.

The quote above came from Paper Napkin’s site who talks about De-Lurking Week. Okay, if you would like to deviate from de-lurking here are some of the things that I would love to know:

1) What part of the triad do you belong to, or do you?
2) Where do you live? Not your address mind you, just your state, city or country will be great.
3) Do you read mostly to learn, curiosity, entertainment or ????
4) How long have you been a birth mom, adoptive mom or an adoptee? (if you are, that is)
5) Do you like seeing news articles?
6) Want more info on other blogs?
7) What have you learned here that has helped you the most?
9) Anything else that you would like to see here?

Feel free to answer all or none of these questions. I don’t expect most will want to answer all. Don’t want to de-lurk? That’s fine too, I am just pleased to know that you’re reading!

    7) What have you learned here that has helped you the most? I’m not sure I can pick out one single thing, but just a nice feeling of hearing other peoples stories similar to mine… an I’m not alone feeling

    9) Anything else that you would like to see here? Well, it might be a bit selfish, but I’d love to see some info about birthparents in kinship adoptions, ’cause that’s our situation. And honestly I’d like to see more about birthfathers. (Then I can make my boyfriend read this more…)

    2) Where do you live? Not your address mind you, just your state, city or country will be great. Dallas, TX
    3) Do you read mostly to learn, curiosity, entertainment or ???? I’m here to learn. My first mother passed away before I was able to meet her. I read to gain insight into what her experiences may have been like. Your willingness to share has been invaluable to me. :)

To learn about the birthmother’s perspective. Since my son was adopted in an international adoption situation, his is by default a closed adoption. This gives me a chance to learn about a side of the triad that I might not otherwise.

    Yep!

    7) What have you learned here that has helped you the most?
I don’t know if there’s any 1 thing that’s helped the most. I come to a new understanding of what it must be like for Nate’s birthmother all the time from reading yours and Jenna’s (and other birthmom’s blogs) everyday. Ultimately I do all of this to be a better mother to my son.

    9) Anything else that you would like to see here?
I can’t think of anything specifically. Just keep on keepin’ on. I love it! Both of you do such great work here!
