2007 is just around the bend. I've talked about the good and the bad in 2006 and even hit on what I feel was the best part of the year along my adoption journey. So what do I have in the coming year to look forward to? Quite a few things! We've already gone about setting up a few visits. The rest will fall into place as the year progresses.

1. DISNEY WORLD, HERE WE COME! J, D, the Munchkin, JD, Josh, Nicholas and myself will all be traveling to Orlando in May of 2007. We have a rather nice condo for an entire week. The resort has four golf courses on site, so the Daddies among us will be sure to be in high heaven. It will also be Josh's first trip to Disney World (and other properties). I'm always excited to show him things for the first time, not to mention seeing Nick's face as he gazes upon really, really large Disney characters. We'll be hitting the Magic Kingdom, Animal Kingdom and Sea World with all of the kids. The rest of the time, the Mommies and kiddos will be in the pool.

2. We'll be leaving Orlando on Josh's birthday which just so happens to fall on Mother's Day in 2007. I'm planning a little special something for D. But I can't say what it is because she reads. Shhh! And something for Josh as well! Shhh!

3. More NYC goodness! This past visit, D and I discussed going back to NYC during Christmas and so, we're planning another visit out there for the Munchkin's birthday. D also mentioned something about seeing The Nutcracker since the Munchkin is absolutely in love with the ballet. How exciting!

Okay, so that's not much that is set in stone just yet. But, to be fair to us, it's not even 2007 yet! I know that I'd like to do something with the kids in late summer. Or perhaps the fall. We'll have to see what this year brings us in terms of money, time and developing children. Obviously, I'd like to get another flight in with Nicholas before he becomes a paying passenger on his second birthday. But how will this year of growth effect his traveling ability? How will that then effect my sanity? Only time will tell! Such is life in an open adoption.

Here's hoping that 2007's list of cool things continues to grow over this coming year.
