This is a very good post. My daughter has Bi polar II disorder.
She also thinks that she does not need her medications when she is doing well. It is a constant battle to get her to take her meds.

My concern is if a person gets pregnant with bi polar II. Some of the medications can cause birth defects and can not be taken while pregnant or actually it is prefered that they discontinue the Meds. six months prior to pregnancy.

With that concern. I worry for my daughter and what that six months can do to her and the nine months of pregnancy that is a very hormonal time also. Can anyone with bipolar II be in control after delivery? I would say it takes time to get it under control again for anyone.

Thank you for this information.

Hugs,
