Jenna - great post! I bought myself a bracelet similar to the "Birthmother Bracelet". Actually I think it's the same bracelet just from a different company.

I love it though. The main beads are a beatiful pale blue.

Wish someone else would have bought it for me, but I can't be picky I suppose.
I wore a locket with C's photo and birthdate for the first five years after he was born - never took it off. It finally got too grungy, so I stopped. But it meant a lot to me.

Erin; I'm glad the the Queen has those things. The Munchkin and I have matching necklaces as well (gold chains with hearts of blue topaz, her birthstone). I don't wear it much because I would absolutely ... die ... if anything happened to it. But for that first year, I wore it with frequency! (It's on in my engagement pictures, for example.)

We went to a local festival about a week after I gave birth. Even before we went I said that my big goal was to find a locket, which I did. I used our computer to shrink down a couple of pictures and I put them in the locket. I don't wear it all the time (I did for the first few months.) But when I do wear it I wear it for days at a time, I even sleep with it on.

I gave the queen a necklace on placement day after TPR. The necklace is divided into two and the necklace that she has is a large heart with the center missing and the bee has the second necklace which is the heart that fits into the first heart.

I also gave her the birthmothers bracelet for Christmas and she says she loves it. She can wear it and not feel that she can have her connection and not have to explain it because it is just a bracelet to the world.
