Adoption Has Been AllTopped

Are you familiar with AllTop? It's a great website. From their "About Us" page, they describe themselves quite succinctly.

"We help you explore your passions by collecting stories from “all the top” sites on the web."

Basically, there are headings like Moms and Dads. These headings have their own pages. On these pages, you will find "top blogs" and links to those blogs five most recent posts. It's a quick way to find great blogs in niche areas.

And now the subject of adoption has been "AllTopped." Is that a verb? Is now! Thanks to the work of Claud (Musings of the Lame), adoption has its own heading over at AllTop. In the past, adoption bloggers would either fall under a larger heading (mom, dad, life) and then be a niche blog. As such, they were harder to find on sites like these because they were just intermixed with other blogs.

Now we have our own space! It feels like a homecoming of sorts. Adoption bloggers of all sorts have been flooding the blogosphere for the past few years. I have learned so very, very much by reading blogs by adoptees, adoptive parents and other birth parents. I have been forced out of my own experience and, as such, comfort zone and "forced" to think of things in different ways. I say forced, of course, because I can always press the little red "x" in the upper right hand corner of my browser should I feel uncomfortable!

AdoptionBlogs is listed on the site as is my personal adoption blog. So are many, many other amazing blogs. If you're looking for some new adoption blogs to read, hit up the Adoption AllTop page and start working your way through the myriad of awesome blogs and writers.

Leave me a comment with your favorite blog from the new listing site. Also! If you are listed on the new Adoption AllTop and I don't know you, leave a comment so I can visit your blog and get to know you! And! If you don't blog, consider it! The more voices, the better!
