Like in every other aspect of my life, I am thankful for music. Adoption is no exception. On my worst days, I can find a song that somehow encapsulates everything that I am feeling. I can curl up in bed, put the song on repeat and allow myself the cathartic tears that cleanse. On good days, when I am making progress in my healing, I can find a tune that makes me think of the Munchkin and still smile. Even on the best of days, during visits and the like, music plays... more

Continuing on this Sunday morning in my thankful series, I am thankful for the wonders of technology. Without the many things that we take for granted, the relationship between D and myself wouldn't be what it is today. Yes, phones and letters or packages sent via snail mail are wonderful. I am thankful, beyond measure, for the crazy amount of pictures that J & D have taken the time to send me. For the pictures that they have gone out of their way to take of me and the Munchkin. For capturing milestones for me that I would have otherwise completely missed. For understanding what... more

While this isn't usually a problem, I have started a series that will run for the entire month on this blog. It is called the Thankful Series. Every single day of this thirty-day month, I will come up with something that I am thankful for that includes the subject... more
