I've been blogging here for an entire year. As of the beginning of this month, that is! I had looked back at some of my previous posts from this time last year and I can see the strides I've made in my own healing just by how I talk about various subjects. By no means am I suggesting that my adoption related grief and loss are issues of my past. No, not at all. I'm just pleased that I've managed to pull a few things together, make some sense of others and continued to learn about the issues that affect us all. It's been a good year. Holy smokes! It's the end of September? October is in two days? I think I'm caught completely off guard because of the heat that has permeated most of this month. Finally, thank goodness, the temperatures are beginning to resemble something fall-like. In fact, we're headed to the Pumpkin Patch today! We're excited!

March has been another busy month for me, both here and in real life. It came in like a lion, in both weather and real life happenings and is leaving like a lamb. The weather is calm, beautiful and sunny and there is a smile on my face. Ending on a good note is always a plus.
I spoke a lot about visiting in open adoptions this month, leading up to this current visit. I started out seeking information for birth parents (or adoptive parents) regarding visits and found that there is, basically, nothing.... more
It's the last day of February? Where did the time go? Another busy month on the blogs, especially here on the birth/first parent blog. I've challenged myself a bit with some of the topics I've tackled. I'm glad that by writing here, I am continuing to push myself towards whatever healing is available to me at that time through those circumstances.
