It's the last day of February? Where did the time go? Another busy month on the blogs, especially here on the birth/first parent blog. I've challenged myself a bit with some of the topics I've tackled. I'm glad that by writing here, I am continuing to push myself towards whatever healing is available to me at that time through those circumstances.
My Faith and Adoption series continues to be one of my favorites even though I only write it once per week. (Minus this past... more

The first month of 2007 has been a busy one here on the blogs. We've added new bloggers, tackled tough topics and learned a lot from one another. Personally, I've found this month to be quite invigorating when it comes to my own writing journey!
My Faith and Adoption series has been, thus far, a hit with readers of all types, including birth mothers, ... more
I've started working on the information gathered from birth parents in the survey I'm conducting regarding birth parents who go on to (or continue to) parent children after placement. I e-mailed a large group of birth parents who said that they were interested in participating but due to time constraints, emergencies and so on, I do not have the number of responses that I would like to in order to fairly represent all different views, situations and adoption... more
It's National De-Lurking Week. Last year I made posts on my personal blogs about this amusing internet event and found some new, interesting readers that became great internet friends. I'll be posting again on the family blog to find out who is reading there but really, I want to know about you!
Leave me a comment. Tell me who you are. Tell me why you read. Tell me your life story. Tell me about your dog, Mugsy, who thinks he's a cat. What's your connection... more
I will be e-mailing surveys to those who have requested to participate in the survey either tonight or tomorrow. Don't know what I'm talking about? Intrigued? Good!
As mentioned briefly in this post, I will be doing a series on birth parents who go on to parent other children, including those who placed a child while already parenting another. (Note: these two different subsects will have slightly differing questions.)

In 2006, I finished writing my first book. Details will follow once they are available. Although I look forward to a month or so off, I hope to begin working on my second book soon. Book number two is my reunion story which I began writing a year or so into reunion. After writing fast and furiously for awhile, I stopped and put it aside.
A number of factors caused me to stop working on our reunion story. Working full-time and blogging keep me busy. Plus, I spend quite a bit of time with my grandchildren, and once... more

2006 is about to wrap up. I've only been blogging here on AdoptionBlogs since October but I've found my own little niche. With that, as I make plans for topics to cover in the first half of the year, I come to ask my readers what kinds of things they would like to see. (And don't any of you dare say "only positive stuff" or "more big-bad stuff.")
I've got adoptive parents, birth parents and adoptees who read this blog. I have some relatives who have not adopted or placed but are attached to the triad by someone else... more
This post has absolutely nothing to do with adoption and everything to do with our children. I couldn't help but notice the influx of posts regarding bloggers' kids birthdays and the readers responses that stated, likewise, their kids' birthdays were around the same time.
So, if you're a reader or a blogger and your kids birthday is in November, comment here. I always liked knowing when someone shared my birthday and its the same for my own kids. I think it is neat and interesting to "meet" people... more

So, I'm making one last call for participation!
